The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research fellow. The Research Fellow will take on a significant role in research.
The appointed Research Fellow will synthesize low valent main group compounds featuring an unique electronic structure, and investigate the reactivity. The reactivity of those compounds will also be investigated. The research staff will develop the fundamental chemistry of p-block elements-based compounds, in particular boron-containing molecules. The research staff will use experimental and analytical skills ranging from basic schlenk technique to computational methods with the Gaussian program. Draft detailed reports conveying experimental results and presenting findings to other scientists. Monitor laboratory equipment to minimize malfunctions and adhere to safety regulations. Supervise undergrads, exchange students, PhD students, and new research staff to enhance the mentor and leadership skills. The research staff will also be involved in the laboratory management as well as the university’s duties & tasks.

Job Requirements:
- PhD in Chemistry or related areas
- Extensive knowledge about fundamental and advanced main group chemistry.
- Strong background and experience on main group and catalysis.
- Experimental and analytical skills and sufficient experience to handle air- and moisture-sensitive molecules
- Publication history in the related field in top international journals.
- Communication skills and leadership to work as a member of the team.
