Responsibilities
About the Team: This Analyst is a part of the Trust & Safety team that is dedicated to building a safe environment for users to discover and create on our content platform. The role is responsible for proactively identifying and swiftly addressing policy violative content and users (bad actors). You will be involved in tactical risk mitigation when conventional strategies prove ineffective or have gaps in their detection. In this role, you will work closely with several teams such as Product, Data Science, Operations and Engineering to identify risky trends early and develop technical detection strategies for our Livestream Feature. Responsibilities: 1. Mitigate ongoing risks on Tiktok Livestream by developing and implementing tactical strategies and methods to detect and enforce risky content at scale across entities; leveraging technical solutions such as SQL, Python, and machine learning. 2. Investigate risky Livestreams and understand the abuse landscape; uncover key insights towards drivers/incentives of abuse, methods to acquire content, gaps in enforcement, etc. 3. Provide rapid incident response for risks during escalations, operating with minimal guidance; analyze and draw conclusions on root-causes and define and implement mitigation steps.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2. Experience or demonstrated interest in content policy and/or anti-abuse operations at scale. 3. Highly up-to-date and in tune with emerging online safety issues, with keen intuition on creating solutions and preventive measures for tackling them. 4. Experience with creating metrics to measure performance of models, building dashboards, and reporting. 5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: 1. A plus if you have proficiency in written and spoken mandarin; translation and communication will be necessary. 2. A plus if you have experience with Livestream or User-generated Content. 3. Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role. 4. Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
