The Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth by developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with agents, corporate clients, and partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for remittance services in Singapore. The role involves managing a sales team, expanding the customer base, and achieving revenue targets while upholding the company’s brand and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and transaction volume targets.
- Identify and onboard new business partners, agents, and corporate clients for remittance services.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
- Manage pricing strategies in line with market conditions and company profitability goals.
2. Client & Partner Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing agents, corporate clients, and strategic partners.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements to ensure mutual profitability.
- Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and site visits to strengthen relationships and address client needs.
3. Sales Team Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance goals.
- Set clear targets, provide regular performance reviews, and ensure skill development.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture with accountability and teamwork.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure all sales activities comply with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) guidelines and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulations.
- Coordinate with the compliance team to ensure proper due diligence for clients and partners.
- Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements affecting the remittance industry.
5. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance reports.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Present performance updates and growth strategies to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience , preferably in the remittance, financial services, or payments industry.
- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of MAS regulations, AML/CTF requirements, and remittance operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Leadership experience in managing and motivating a sales team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.
