Job Description:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the offshore wind T&I and oil & gas sector across Asia.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities and potential partners.
- Lead the evaluation of new business prospects and feasibility studies for offshore wind projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including offshore wind developers, EPC contractors, vessel operators, and government agencies.
- Negotiate and structure strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations to support business growth.
- Liaise with the tender team for the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams such as project management, engineering, legal, finance, and operations to align business development efforts with company growth strategies.
- Facilitate communication and coordination about offshore wind topics across the commercial team and other departments.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to inform business strategies.
Requirements:
- At least bachelor degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Business, or related field.
- More than 5 years in business development or commercial role within offshore wind T&I, marine construction, offshore heavy-lift projects, or oil & gas experience focused on key Asian markets.
- Demonstrated success in securing T&I contracts for offshore projects.
- Active involvement in key Asian market with extensive understanding of local customs, and regulatory procedures.
- Strong financial modelling for T&I scopes, including vessel charter cost analysis and optimization.
- Skilled at structuring charter parties, service agreements, and joint ventures to balance opportunity and risk.
- Understanding of offshore installation methods (jack-up vessels, dynamic positioning vessels, cable lay vessels) marine operations planning, and marine warranty standards.
- Proven ability to cultivate trust with C-level stakeholders, and clients.
- Agile in adapting go-to-market approaches under shifting regulatory constraints.
- Excellent proposal writing, presentation skills and stakeholder management across multicultural teams.
