Welcome to the Disruption Company. As a Senior Copywriter, you will be responsible for work produced on behalf of our clients, as well as any work created for our company, as the need may arise. You are required to conceptualize, produce and implement disruptive creative that solves our clients’ business problems, briefs or goals. You are also expected to maintain our company’s standards of creative excellence and, within reason, profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Ideation + Strategic Acumen
- Participate in strategic conversations effectively providing input from a creative perspective.
- Proactive in bringing new ideas / concepts on brands across industries.
- Constantly striving to deliver disruptive ideas.
- Responsible for presenting rationale for selling/recommending creative ideas to Creative Directors and Clients.
- Communicate effectively and persuasively i.e. with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Constantly up skilling, proactively keeping up with creative / social / digital trends and best practices; know what works, and how to incorporate these into campaigns.
Execution / Production
- Lead briefs from conceptualisation to execution independently, successfully "directing" multiple aspects of the campaign, ensuring work and briefs align with client and agency’s creative objectives.
- Passionate about craft, delivering work of the highest quality.
- Lead creative productions and QC the work.
- Successfully deliver work for creative and effectiveness awards at local and international awards competitions.
- Great time management - Timely in work delivery, proactive in flagging timeline issues.
Business Acumen
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and client's business and with the ability to use that knowledge to lift the work.
- Curious about the business and how it works with an open mind and willingness to learn this side.
- Have an understanding of production costs and whether an idea is financially feasible.
People Management
- Partner and collaborate with working teams - internal & external - managing performance and delivery of the creative output to standard.
- Build effective and positive client and internal relationships.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, motivate them to get better in their craft and grow in their role.
- Mentor and train creatives on production process.
Leadership
- Demonstrate ability for creative problem solving in how they approach every task – whether that’s identifying a way to improve the internal process, or co-creating an inspiring way to sell in the work.
- High level of curiosity, courage and comfort with building previously undefined solutions.
- Positive influencing skills, building up your own brand.
Job Specifications
Knowledge required
- 5 - 8 years working experience as a creative.
- Knowledgeable and understanding of the latest innovations, trends and developments in our industry.
- A proven track record of previous success, as well as a determination to continue to succeed
Skills required
