Essential duties and responsibilities:
Deal Review & Strategic Guidance: Provides consultation on deal positioning and pricing to maximize revenue and profitability, guidance on business case development. Manages and approves pricing discounts and exceptions. Assists in Salesforce CPQ quotations and formulating and drafting nonstandard financial arrangements.
Contract Review and Negotiation of Terms: Provide first line support in managing customer redlines and contractual changes. Analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with company policies and protect organization’s interests. Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance and Product Teams to streamline deal processing addressing support for nonstandard contractual arrangements and resolving contractual or pricing issues.
Risk Assessment and Compliance: Identify potential legal, financial, or operational risks within contracts; Making sure contracts comply with internal policies.
Contract Management Validation: Review and validate executed contracts against SFDC quotations to ensure critical data points are properly recorded in SFDC and synced to NetSuite.
Tool Maintenance and Improvement: Manage and enhance Salesforce to support efficient, accurate and transparent deal operations.
Outside Regions Extended Hour Support: As needed, provides support for regions outside of APAC during local time.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field and/or legal /paralegal studies or Bachelor or Juris Doctor of Law.
Professional Expertise: A minimum of 5+ years in contracting roles required, ideally within a global software company, concurrently or in addition 5+ years of experience in any combination of a deal desk, pricing, sales operations roles. Concurrently or additionally.
Deep Industry Insight: Strong grasp of enterprise software pricing models, sales cycles, and the nuances of a fast-paced tech environment is highly desirable.
Communication & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to collaborate across functions, build consensus, and effectively influence stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and capable of interpreting financial data to inform strategic decisions.
Language Literacy: Required literacy in English, additionally highly preferred literacy in Chinese.
