Join a multidisciplinary team advancing next-generation laser and electro-optics systems for defence and security. You'll lead the design and integration of high-performance electronics, working closely with optical, mechanical, software, and systems engineers to bring cutting-edge technologies from lab to field deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and integrate high-voltage power supplies, laser drivers, thermal controllers, and safety interlocks
- Prototype, test, and integrate sensors, diagnostics, and safety modules
- Perform PCB design, simulation, layout reviews, and troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards and manage signal integrity
- Collaborate across engineering teams to meet system performance requirements
- Maintain accurate technical documentation in line with configuration and industry standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in power electronics/control systems for laser or electro-optics applications
- Proficient in PCB design and simulation tools (Altium, OrCAD, PSpice, LTSpice)
- Skilled in embedded systems, analog/digital circuit design, and thermal management
- Knowledge of laser drivers, power conditioning, and laser safety standards preferred
- Strong analytical, debugging, and rapid prototyping skills
- Excellent documentation and cross-functional collaboration abilities
