Role Overview: The Solutions Owner will be responsible for governing and managing the full lifecycle of Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) solutions within the organization. This includes ensuring that all BIA solutions meet current and future business needs, optimizing data-driven decision-making, and continually enhancing our analytics capabilities to drive strategic goals.
Additionally, the Solution Owner will oversee the delivery by extended team members to ensure adherence to best practices and design robust data models for operational, tactical, and strategic data consumption. This role will require providing solutions for business requirements that enable cross-functional analysis and support various organizational functions.

- Secondary Business Area of ownership: Operations, Product Lifecycle Management, HR
Key responsibilities:
- Ability to manage and guide extended teams in delivering high-quality solutions.
- Ensuring BIA team operations, ensuring the delivery of incident requests, service requests, and change requests are aligned with business needs and priorities.
- Own and govern BIA solutions in projects, ensuring best practices are adopted and long-term enterprise goals are met.
- Collaborate with data architects, application architects, IT business partners, and cross-functional solution owners (SAP, Digital, and Infrastructure) to ensure BIA solutions are compliant and designed in line with the organization's focus.
- Influence the business community to adopt self-service and interactive BIA best practices, reducing total cost of ownership while meeting business needs.
- Ensure adherence to standards and guidelines for documentation, development, source control, testing methodology, procedures, and knowledge base.
- Manage the application managed service partner’s delivery of project tasks, change requests, and resolution of incident tickets in the reporting and dashboard area to ensure quality and meet committed schedules.
- Proactively drive improvements in BIA solutions to eliminate root causes of business problems, reducing incidents and change requests to IT.
- Provide support, guidance, and training to users, focusing on power users and user groups.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of IT/business experience, with at least 5 years using BIA solutions (e.g., Embedded Analytics/SAC, SAP Analysis for Office, Microsoft Power BI).
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge in data modeling (star schema or equivalent, dimension tables/calculated views). Competency in S/4 HANA Embedded analytics (Fiori, CDS views), SAP BW/4 HANA, and data warehousing.
- Functional Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP Finance, Sales, logistics (supply chain/procurement/manufacturing), Spares & Services, Human Resources.
- Governance and Best Practices: Understanding of BIA governance processes (audit trails, data lineage, business-to-technical metadata).
- Additional Skills: Experience in data preparation, performance tuning of queries/reports/ dashboards, Azure Data Lake. Beneficial experience in manufacturing environments, data analysis, big data, and machine learning.
- Analytical and Process-Oriented: Strong analytical ability and process orientation, recommending industry best practices.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Influence internal stakeholders with strong customer-facing abilities.
