Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and timely filing of all tax returns, including corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Conduct tax computations and ensure accurate tax provisions in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Monitor and manage tax compliance risks across business operations.
- Liaise with external tax agents, auditors, and tax authorities on tax-related matters and audits.
- Assist in formulating and implementing tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax exposures.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and advise management on the implications for the business.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff in tax matters.
- Support transfer pricing documentation and related-party transaction reporting, where applicable.
- Participate in group-level tax planning and reporting exercises.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
- Accredited with a recognized professional body (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA)
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and advisory, preferably in a mid to large-sized company or Big 4 accounting firm.
- Experience in handling tax audits and liaising with tax authorities is essential.
