Cloud DevSecOps Engineer
As a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and managing the cloud infrastructure that supports our services, ensuring high availability and reliability. You’ll join a DevSecOps-driven team that manages customer cloud environments with hundreds of servers and a range of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS implementations. Your up-to-date technical expertise and hands-on knowledge of cloud technologies will help us maintain and enhance our cloud environment. Staying current with technology standards, industry trends, and best practices in software development is expected.
What will you do?
- Set up, test, implement, and maintain technologies in cloud environments (AWS)
- Set up, test, and integrate CI/CD tools
- Architect and develop solutions to meet project requirements
- Work in an agile, cross-functional team to support team success
- Solve complex technical problems both independently and collaboratively
- Review and improve work processes based on industry best practices, especially for client IT Cloud infrastructure support operations
- Document new processes
- Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and deployment in project deliveries
- Operate, manage, and support IT infrastructure and services to meet client service levels
- Ensure project implementation and operations align with client technology standards and policies
- Provide AWS maintenance support for production systems (monitoring, tuning, patch updates/upgrades)
- Reduce production time using AWS CloudFormation for automated infrastructure deployment
- Apply knowledge of AMI and ASG development and maintenance
- Improve resource management, including resource tagging for cost designation, budgeting, reporting, and governance
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant IT experience
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD development (scripting such as Python, Ansible), infrastructure automation using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), and AWS cloud services to drive DevSecOps
- Experience in setting up, utilising, and optimising CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and automated testing
- Experience with coding or scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, Perl, Python, etc.
- Experience in OS and service setup/configuration via scripting is an advantage
- Knowledge of cloud concepts, services, technologies, and architecting
- Experience with software development and collaboration tools such as Git, Maven, Gradle, Bamboo, Jenkins
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Clear and effective communication skills (written and spoken) with customers and stakeholders
- Approachable and collaborative attitude towards team members
- Adaptable to change
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team and as an individual contributor
- Good to have: Experience building cloud-native applications (e.g., Python, Node.js), in-depth knowledge of cloud networking, and technical qualifications related to Cloud (AWS/Azure)
- Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines
