About Us:
KidsFirst is an Early Intervention School, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy clinic for children. Our centre works with children with special needs (Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), genetic disorders, and Cerebral Palsy, etc). We deliver an intensive therapy-based program and also provide 1-1 therapy services.
KidsFirst serves a mixed population of international and local clients, with KidsFirst being listed as one of the preferred Early Intervention Centres by KK Women's and Children's Hospital and National University Hospital (NUH) - Singapore.
We are located at 8 Hong Kong Street, Singapore 059651.
Our brand-new facility houses five state of the art Occupational Therapy Gyms, five Speech Therapy Rooms and two levels for the Early Intervention classrooms. Conveniently located to shopping malls and food spaces like Clarke Quay Central, Chinatown Point, Riverside Point and Hong Lim Market & Food Centre.

Overview of the Post:
The post holder will assist in the provision of Speech Therapy services to children
Duties:
- The person holding this post is required to support the principle that the care of the patient comes first at all times and will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm.
- The post holder will work under the guidance and supervision of the Speech Therapists and help to maintain the service as a member of the team.
Duties will be according to the requirements of the specific work area and the day-to-day needs of the service and will include the following:
- To assist patients therapeutic activities.
- Prepare resources for assessment/intervention, including clinic appointments and group interventions.
- To be familiar with the operation of relevant equipment.
- To develop appropriate rapport with patients families under direction of the speech therapist
- Under the direction of the speech therapist to be responsible for liaising with patients, carers and relatives as required.
- To adapt individual and/or group activities as delegated by the speech therapist and in line with pre-agreed parameters
- To observe the client’s gross motor skills, record information as requested and report observations to the supervising speech therapist.
- To undergo training/education as required.
- To assist the speech therapist in the assessment of clients and the implementation of treatment interventions.
- To carry out interventions under the direction of the speech therapist.
- To prepare the client and the environment for treatment as directed by the speech therapist.
- To organise and supervise therapeutic activities, with individual clients/groups as directed by the speech therapist.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,500.00 per month
