Job Description
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify against delivery orders and/or purchase orders.
- Check for damages or discrepancies and report to procurement or quality control as required.
- Store materials in designated locations following proper handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using internal inventory management system.
- Perform regular counts and assist with full stock takes.
- Label and tag items clearly for easy identification.
- Prepare and issue materials to production teams based on material requisition slips.
- Ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) or other relevant material handling methods are followed.
- Keep the store area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Comply with company safety policies and assist in enforcing safe storage practices, including proper handling of heavy or sharp metal components.
- Assist in loading/unloading of trucks.
- Coordinate with logistics providers, production supervisors, and other departments as required. Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to storage and inventory practices.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of related job experience in the same role and preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
- Good command of English (Written/Read) and Mandarin (Verbal).
- Basic knowledge of metal materials and common fabrication tools.
- Forklift driving experience is an advantage.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, etc)
- Independent, meticulous with good organizational skills.
