Structural Engineer (Blast Design)
Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to support large-scale infrastructure projects, focusing on security and safety standards. This role offers exposure to specialised projects and opportunities to grow expertise in Security-by-Design.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of security and blast consultants
- Provide technical advice and subject matter expertise to project teams
- Standardise and implement security and blast design requirements
- Review reports to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
- Oversee commissioning of security systems and hardened structures
Requirements
- Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (specialisation in Blast Engineering is a plus)
- Familiar with physical security and blast design concepts
- Knowledge of blast simulations (e.g. Finite Element Analysis, progressive collapse mitigation)
- Registration as a Competent Person (Blast) is an advantage
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience preferred
