As Deepavali approaches, we’re looking for an experienced Sweets Chef (Mithai Chef) to join our kitchen team on a short-term (1 to 2 months) basis to prepare high-quality Indian sweets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of traditional and festive Indian sweets (e.g., Ladoo, Barfi, Jalebi, Mysore Pak, Kaju Katli, etc.)
- Ensure consistent quality, hygiene, and presentation
- Work closely with kitchen team for production planning and bulk orders
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times Assist in packaging and fulfilling customer orders when needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Indian sweet-making is a must
- Able to manage festive rush and large-volume production
- Familiar with ingredient prep, sugar syrup stages, and temperature control
- Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
- Able to commit from early/mid Sept to end Oct
- Good planning, organizing and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good knowledge and creative in food planning and preparation
- Good grooming standards and personal presentation
- Flexibility on working days and hours including weekends and public holidays
