Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer (Digital Workplace) to oversee and manage our end-user computing systems, with a focus on Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Okta, Google Workspace, and Zoom. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in endpoint security, identity and access management, and cloud-based collaboration tools. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, user support, and compliance across all digital workplace platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Endpoint Manager
Device Deployment & Configuration
- Plan and execute deployment of end-user devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices).
- Configure and maintain device images ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.
Device Security & Compliance
- Implement and enforce security policies on devices.
- Ensure threat protection and regulatory compliance.
- Regularly patch and update devices to address vulnerabilities.
Endpoint Management
- Manage tools for device inventory, remote monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Resolve hardware and software issues on end-user devices.
Software Management
- Deploy and update operating systems, applications, and software licenses.
- Manage software compliance and licensing.
User Support & Training
- Provide technical support for end-user device issues.
- Deliver training and documentation for device management best practices.
Asset Management
- Maintain accurate device inventory including specs, warranties, and locations.
- Monitor device lifecycle and recommend upgrades/replacements.
Performance Optimization
- Optimize device performance through monitoring and tuning strategies.
PowerShell Scripting
- Automate device management tasks using PowerShell to enhance efficiency.
Okta
Okta Management
- Implement authentication flows including adaptive MFA, RBAC, and authorization logic.
- Configure factor enrollments, sign-on policies, and application access policies.
Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Manage access control, authentication, and authorization policies.
Integration & Customization
- Integrate applications using SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
- Analyze business use cases and implement proof of concepts within Okta.
User Support & Training
- Troubleshoot Okta-related issues and provide user support.
- Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor Okta performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Generate usage and performance reports for management.
Google Workspace
Administration
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Google Workspace.
- Configure apps like Gmail, Drive, Calendar to align with organizational needs.
- Enforce security and compliance policies across the suite.
User Support & Training
- Provide user support for Google Workspace issues.
- Deliver training on best practices and tool functionality.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor service health and usage to ensure uptime and performance.
- Generate user activity and performance reports.
Zoom
Administration
- Configure and manage Zoom accounts, user roles, and global settings.
- Implement security for meetings/webinars (encryption, authentication, access control).
User Support & Training
- Troubleshoot video/audio issues and support meeting setup.
- Create and deliver Zoom usage training sessions and materials.
Integration & Customization
- Integrate Zoom with tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
- Customize Zoom settings for workflow and compliance needs.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor Zoom usage and ensure high availability.
- Provide performance and usage metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in:
- Identity and access management
- End-user device management
- Technical support
- Proficiency with:
- Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android device management
- PowerShell scripting and API-based automation
- Strong knowledge in:
- Endpoint security practices
- Compliance standards (CIS, regulatory)
- Tools: Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Okta, Active Directory
- Familiar with:
- Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
