The Data Science department is responsible for end-to-end data analysis work across various business directions, including indicator definition and monitoring, experimental design and evaluation, problem research, and opportunity mining. It studies various ecological issues and explores the formulation of strategies beneficial to long-term value. It also researches scientific statistical analysis methods to promote the implementation of data products.
Responsibilities:
1. General responsibilities: Build and improve the operational data framework for TikTok's local service business. Assist the TikTok Local Service business team in making key decisions and improving operational efficiency by providing sufficient data infrastructure. Prepare recurring data to track the day-to-day management of all functional areas related to operational analysis.
2. Operational goal analysis: Provide analytical support for the operations team in business development. Assist operation leads in planning local service campaign strategies by defining statistical methods (time-series forecasting, data mining) and choosing the most appropriate approaches for business campaign performance review.
3. Campaign growth analysis: Drive the growth of TikTok Local Service business campaigns through data analysis and modeling by iterating operational strategies using A/B testing and microeconomic models to improve merchant incentives, user experience, and repurchase rates. Collaborate closely with operation team members to establish a campaign data tracking monitor (both daily and in real-time).
4. Strategy analysis: Develop and refine data analysis methodologies and frameworks, extract the recurring data needs of the operations department for campaign cost analysis and ROI analysis. Iterate operational strategies from the TikTok Local Service Platform role for the user subsidy strategy, and work with operation teams, industry business development teams, and sales teams to develop business reports and campaign subsidy strategies.
5. Data Infrastructure: Collaborate closely with data engineering, product managers, and operation teams in Singapore, China, Indonesia, and Japan to establish campaign data tracking monitor (both daily and in real-time). Promote cross-functional data foundations and monitors, and ensure the stability, accuracy, and timeliness of the core metrics of TikTok Local Service business campaign data while continuing to iterate monitors and self-serve analytical data tools to improve data usage efficiency across cross-functional business teams.
