This role is a vital part of a new leadership team within our Global Operations organization, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations. Global Supply Chain Operations is responsible for plans and flows that deliver the right product at the right time to our markets, while ensuring the right global standards are in place, as well as leading all aspects of the successful delivery of our global strategy and tactics.

Within APAC China Supply Chain Operations, we're looking for someone to think global but act regional. This means secure and optimize service towards our customers in the region, whilst ensuring that we deliver against our plan and goals, staying true to our global processes and global scalability.

Core Responsibilities

The VP of APAC CN Supply Chain Operations will manage a team of 8 direct reports, and a wider organisation of over 60, to deliver supply planning, demand planning, B2B and DTC distribution, and fulfilment across APAC and China locations:

  • Providing strong leadership as Operations Business Partner for APAC & China Market Groups, sitting on the APAC Market Group commercial Leadership Team.

  • Facilitating internal cross-functional collaboration with fellow regional Supply Chain Operation heads, Global Operations leadership, Business Units GMs and other commercial leaders and manufacturing heads, to align operational strategies and drive business performance.

  • Driving innovation, sustainability, operational excellence and global alignment with agility to enable company to meet growth plans.

  • Implement distribution strategy, including footprint development and digitalization, working closely with colleagues in digital teams and global Operations Transformation team.

  • Planning finished goods supply across APAC and China manufacturing operations and secure plans that allows shopfloor planning in the sites to optimize output and utilisation of equipment in the manufacturing sites, optimizing service and inventory to support demand. Playing a key role in ensuring we deliver the highest level of customer service across all customer channels regionally.

  • Proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks to our supply chain, including disruptions, compliance issues and changes, by implementing appropriate risk management strategies and contingency plans.

  • Providing functional Operations leadership to colleagues in business units across APAC and China, building the community and capability of regional and BU Ops teams.

  • Developing talent to contribute to a hard-working team, encouraging an inclusive culture and an environment of continuous learning and collaboration.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Extensive end-to-end supply chain experience, including supply and demand planning, inventory management and warehousing and distribution, including experience of working in supply chains which include manufacturing operations.

  • Ability to make the complex simple and drive effective decision-making with cross-functional teams.

  • Highly collaborative style, able to flex to influence across diverse cultures and functional areas.

  • A proven track record of tight-knit collaboration, problem solving, and risk management.

  • Leading large-scale change-management (i.e., sustainability agenda, new system software, new location/s and/or organisational changes) where implementing new ways of working changing everyone’s daily job.

  • Experience of leading large diverse teams responsible for customer service, supply chain strategy, planning, warehouse and transport operations.

  • Strong background of efficiency and service improvement.

  • Experience delivering strategic change in supply chain, enabled by digital tools.
