Job Summary:
Prepare and cook Western-style dishes, including to steaks, pastas, grilled items roasts and sauces.
Develop and improve Western menus with a focus on taste, creativity and customer preferences.
Ensure food quality and consistency in every dish served.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in accordance with safety regulations.
Oversee kitchen inventory, including ordering and managing stock of ingredients.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in Western cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
Collaborate with other chefs and management on seasonal menus.
Monitor food cost and minimize waste through proper portion control and efficient kitchen practices.
Ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
Requirements:
4-5 years experience as a Western Chef or in a similar culinary role.
Formal culinary training or relevant certifications required
Strong knowledge of Western cuisine and cooking techniques.
Creativity and passion for food presentation and taste.
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
