Vita Singapore is currently searching for an experienced Works Package Manager (Mechanical & Building Services) to plan, coordinate, and deliver mechanical systems within a defined scope of a construction project. This includes overseeing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, managing interfaces with other disciplines, and driving progress to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.

The company operates within two main segments – a high-barrier-to-entry life sciences project construction management business and a specialized investment management business. Since the 2000s, the project construction management business has worked on over 200 projects in Asia-Pacific for more than 100 blue-chip life sciences and pharmaceutical companies, with many repeat clients.
Key Responsibilities
Package Management
- Lead the execution of mechanical works including HVAC, piping, process utilities, and equipment installation.
- Manage the full lifecycle of the mechanical work package—from design coordination through to commissioning and handover.
- Ensure alignment with project goals, contractual obligations, and client expectations.
Coordination & Supervision
- Interface with civil, electrical, architectural, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress against schedule.
Technical Oversight
- Review and approve technical documentation including drawings, datasheets, method statements, and installation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support resolution of technical issues and manage non-conformances (NCRs).
Planning & Reporting
- Develop and maintain detailed work schedules and resource plans.
- Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
Commissioning Support
- Collaborate with commissioning teams to prepare for functional testing, pressure testing, and system validation.
- Ensure documentation and traceability for handover and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 3 years in a package management or supervisory role.
- Proven track record in delivering mechanical systems for industrial, pharmaceutical, or high-tech facilities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical codes, GMP standards (if pharma-related), and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
