Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by managing day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, tax compliance, and financial analysis. The role supports internal controls, audit readiness, and statutory obligations, contributing to the overall integrity and efficiency of the finance function.
Key Tasks:
1. Review day to day accounting activities to ensure accuracy and completeness
2. Prepare journal entries for month end closing.
3. Perform SG&A analysis and reconciliation
4. Review monthly bank reconciliation
5. Monitor AP/AR processes; ensure timely processing and correct classification
6. Support audit preparation and provide basic documentation
7. Assist with tax computations and submissions (e.g., WHT GST)
8. Review and support Singapore subsidiaries Non Trade Procurement process
9. Statistics/survey preparation and submission
10. Work independently or and/as part of a team
Requirements:
1. Understanding of international or local accounting standards for accurate financial reporting.
2. Ability to prepare and review a complete set of financial statements.
3. Familiarity with corporate tax, GST/VAT filings, and deferred tax accounting.
4. Meticulous and good communication skills
5. Ability to work under tight timeline and manage ad hoc tasks as required
6. Proficiency in SAP and BPC is preferred
7. Tax accounting knowledger preferred.
Education and Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting
Experience
- A combined of 5 years of experience gained from a professional auditing firm and experience in financial management with exposure in MNCs.
- Exposure to commodities industry/ financial institutions is advantageous
