Design, build, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure, particularly focusing on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms. This role involves collaborating with development teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and ensure high availability and performance of containerized applications.
- Manage, configure, and automate OpenShift environments to support scalable application development and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams across different geographical locations to integrate and deploy applications within the OpenShift environment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability of OpenShift platform.
- Optimize and scale OpenShift clusters to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Offer technical support and guidance on OpenShift best practices and troubleshooting.
- Keep current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to OpenShift, Kubernetes and DevOps best practices.
- Implement security measures to protect application and infrastructure within OpenShift environment
- Automate routine infrastructure management and configuration tasks, reducing human error and enhancing efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations and processes.
- Work closely with Customer on their deployment needs.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with a focus on OpenShift orchestration platform.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Expertise in managing OpenShift clusters and containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes like Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (e.g., multi-farm deployment, docker image creation, yaml configuration etc.)
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages.
- Familiar with relational DB (Oracle) and SQL.
- Practical experience in Java preferred.
- Experience in performance testing setup using JMeter.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to have/preferred skills and experience
- OpenShift certification or similar credentials.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
- Deep understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience and knowledge of card payment processing.
- Standard Payments processing messaging concepts.
