Responsibilities:
- Accountable for existing and new business activities for domestic market and/or assigned territories which includes attending to customers’ communications on pricing, contract negotiations, tender submissions, technical support and coordination of major issues.
- Accountable for sales, profitability and growth.
- Develop and strengthen good working relationships with accounts and business partners at all levels.
- Active management of relationship with Key Accounts for long-term profitable and sustainable growth.
- Responsible for commercial activities and new assignments as assigned by the immediate Manager from time-to-time.
- Timely reporting of business performance, updates and projects.
- Gather and report updated market information to internal stakeholders in a timely manner; work with various internal stakeholders to ensure successful sales process.
- Must be able to lead presentations, proposals and plans as necessary.
Requirements:
- Diploma and above in any discipline, prefer in Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental or Engineering areas.
- Minimum 3 years of solid technical sales and marketing of chemical products/solutions, preferably with MNCs.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint (High Presentation level is required).
- Additional experience in sourcing, procurement, product management, contract negotiation and customer service will be highly preferred but not a must.
- Able to make regular customer calls and visits plants (which may require physical fitness to walk/climb stairs of reasonable distance/height) when required.
- Understanding of technical terms and concepts - especially related to chemical, chemistry and water treatment.
- Proficiency in writing, reading and speaking of English language is a must.
- Proficiency in Chinese, Malay and/or other languages will be highly preferred for communication with customers from various backgrounds.
- A valid driving license and own vehicle is essential for the role.
