Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Bellman to join our team in Singapore, Singapore. As a Bellman, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, assisting them with luggage and escorting them to their rooms
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation options
- Assist guests with special requests and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently
- Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, and concierge teams to address guest inquiries and concerns
- Manage luggage storage and retrieval for arriving and departing guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby and entrance areas
- Handle guest transportation requests and arrange for taxis or other services as needed
- Ensure the security of guest belongings and maintain accurate records of stored items
- Promote hotel services and facilities to enhance guest experience and drive additional revenue
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with evacuation procedures when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bellman in a hotel or similar hospitality setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate guest needs
- Physical fitness to lift and carry luggage, stand for extended periods, and move throughout the hotel
- Thorough knowledge of local area, attractions, and transportation options
- Basic computer skills for managing guest requests and using hotel management systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, especially in languages common among our international guests
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
