Job Summary:
The BIM Modeller (Archi & C&S) is responsible for developing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and outputs related to architectural and civil & structural disciplines. The role involves producing accurate 3D models and drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project standards and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Modeling & Documentation:
- Develop accurate 3D BIM models for architectural and civil/structural elements using Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software.
- Generate 2D drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details) from the BIM model as per project requirements.
- Ensure all models and drawings comply with company and client BIM standards and specifications.
- Perform clash detection and model coordination using tools like Navisworks or BIM 360.
Coordination:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated and clash-free design.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and update models based on design changes or coordination issues.
Quality & Standards:
- Maintain BIM documentation and follow established workflows and naming conventions.
- Conduct model checks and audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Assist in implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and adhere to project timelines and deliverables.
Project Support:
- Support project teams in design development, tender, and construction stages. Work under the direction of the BIM Manager, project engineers, or architects.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- BIM certification or relevant training is an advantage.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in BIM modelling for architectural and civil/structural projects.
- Experience in infrastructure or building projects using BIM Level 2 standards is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture & Structure), AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, BIM 360, and other coordination tools.
- Knowledge of international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
