Job description
As the Business Development Director for Europe, you will be the representative of the Company in Europe. Your focus will be to advance and grow Company business interests in the region, reporting back directly to the HQ in Singapore.
- Establish, build and manage good relationships with Company’s Europe offices, Agents and Key Account customers.
- Coordinate and communicate with all Europe offices on company strategy and policies.
- Assist in the management and supervision of Europe offices' performance.
- Assist and coordinate the establishment of new Europe offices, including the roll-out of Cloud FMS systems, sales and marketing strategies, and reporting structures to HQ.
- Build domain knowledge of Europe regional development, market conditions, and the competitive landscape.
- Improve and strengthen the cohesiveness of the network, as well as coordinate and manage any Trade related issues between the respective Port of Loading (POL)/Port of Discharge (POD) Countries and European offices.
- Negotiate and procure service agreements from approved agents with the most favorable terms and reliability of service for the Group.
- Design and implement solutions that will assist in the Group’s efforts in new product/ service launches in Europe.
- Improve profitability via better buying, and/or finding new ways of minimizing costs by working with the Group members.
- Assist the Senior Management Team in the day-to-day operational management and special projects when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Director or similar senior role.
- Strong understanding of the industry and market dynamics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work strategically and collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Proven track record of achieving sale and revenue goals.
