The employer is a Single Family Office affiliated with a large and diversified conglomerate with interests in manufacturing, international trading, energy, telecom and financial services sectors in Southeast and North Asia. The Family Office manages a portfolio of global investments covering financial products, private equity and alternative assets, and real estate. To support further expansion of the FO in Singapore, it is looking for:

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for dual responsibilities for the Family Office and for Corporate Development. For the Family Office, he/she will focus on Pipeline & Due Diligence, especially alternatives; Preparation of Investment Memos; Work with legal teams for execution of investments (typically fund investments), Portfolio monitoring and management; and Support Investment Committee discussions and decision making.
For Corporate Development, he/she will lead Corporate Strategy Development; Support & update corporate strategy, as market conditions & opportunities develop, especially in the tech sector in SE Asian markets; Lead and support execution of M&A – from structuring, negotiations and execution of selected M&A opportunities; and take lead in active management of selected portfolio companies.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Business/Finance/Engineering from reputed institutions.
- CPA/CFA/MBA qualifications
- At least 15-18 years of relevant experience in financial investments and corporate development/strategy with family offices, corporate strategy teams, or buy-side investment firms across multiple asset classes
- Strong fundamental and technical analysis, and critical thinking capabilities
- Familiar with a range of analytical tools, databases, and software relevant for investments and portfolio management
- Hands-on. Entrepreneurial and adaptable.
- Ability to work closely with senior and next gen entrepreneurs
- Proactive, inquisitive, ability to balance the conflicting requirements of multitasking and detail orientation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Asian languages – Mandarin/Bahasa/Thai – would be advantageous in order to deal with counterparts and partners in North and SE Asia.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
