Job Summary:
The Cleaning Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning and sanitation services to maintain a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. The Cleaning Specialist will perform routine and deep cleaning tasks across designated areas, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out cleaning duties in assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
- Perform specialised cleaning such as carpet shampooing, floor polishing, and window cleaning when required.
- Handle and maintain cleaning equipment and tools properly.
- Follow cleaning schedules and task checklists to ensure thorough coverage.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Dispose of waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials appropriately.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and professionalism while on duty. Follow health, safety, and infection control procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cleaning and/or housekeeping preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and products.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays if required.
