Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Client Onboarding Officer to join our fast-growing crypto exchange team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for new clients, ensuring a seamless and compliant onboarding experience. You will work closely with compliance, operations, and customer support teams to verify client information, perform KYC/AML checks, and guide clients through the onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for retail and institutional clients.
- Conduct KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Review and verify documentation (e.g., ID, proof of address, business registration, source of funds).
- Liaise with clients to assist with onboarding issues or documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to escalate and resolve any red flags.
- Maintain accurate records of onboarding data and ensure timely updates in internal systems.
- Assist in optimizing onboarding workflows for greater efficiency and improved user experience.
- Stay updated with evolving regulatory requirements in the crypto and financial services industry.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Compliance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in client onboarding, KYC, or compliance in crypto, fintech, or banking.
- Familiarity with crypto exchanges, wallets, and blockchain basics.
- Knowledge of global KYC/AML regulations (e.g., FATF, MAS, FinCEN, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify suspicious activity or incomplete documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using onboarding and compliance tools
- Prior experience onboarding institutional or high-net-worth clients in crypto or financial services.
- Certification in AML or compliance (e.g., ACAMS) is a plus.
