- Chair board meetings and work closely with the CEO to develop strategy and ensure implementation of the agreed plans and actions.
- Ensure good governance practices are in place, including effective management of risk, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and adherence to ethical standards.
- Provide leadership to the board and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Recruit and develop an effective board with a mix of skills, experience and diversity.
- Ensure that the organization has adequate resources to achieve its goals and monitor financial performance.
- Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees and regulators.
- Ensure that the organization is seen as a leader in its field and build a positive reputation through effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor and above in Business Management, Finance or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 15-20 years of experience in managing an organisation.
- Ability to inspire and motivate the board and stakeholders towards a common goal.
- Strong strategic vision and the ability to drive the organisation forward.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information to board members and other stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate diplomatic situations and foster positive relationships within the organisation.
- Sound judgement and decision-making abilities to make informed choices for the organisation.
- Strategic thinking skills to anticipate future trends and plan for long-term success.
