Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, kitchen equipment, and other food service items using both manual and machine methods.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of dish racks and operate dishwashing machines safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, sinks, and trash areas.
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables according to lounge and airport waste management procedures.
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and inventory when required.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, and airport safety standards at all times.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic tasks during busy periods, such as preparing trays or wiping down prep areas.
- Report any malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to uniform and grooming standards appropriate for an airport lounge environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role in hospitality preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Team player with a respectful and cooperative attitude.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings/late nights (subject to airport operations).
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
