[What the role is]
This role will sit within our IT Operations Division – Systems Management team.[What you will be working on]
Design, implement, and maintain Unix-based systems and infrastructure, including RHEL, Middleware (JBOSS, MQ), and Satellite
Develop and manage automation scripts and Ansible playbooks to streamline operations and improve efficiency
Execute migrations from existing Unix platforms and implement continuous improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance
Ensure compliance, service uptime, quality, and resilience of Unix platforms through Day 2 Operations
Implement configuration management following industry standards such as CIS
[What we are looking for]
A relevant university degree with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
Proven experience in Unix system administration and engineering, particularly with Redhat linux
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware / OpenStack)
Proficiency in shell scripting, python, and automation tools (Ansible / Puppet)
Familiarity with version control systems, configuration management tools, and cloud platforms
Experience in supporting critical systems and implementing security best practices
Experience in implementing configuration standards (e.g., CIS) with drift management
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE) are beneficial
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong service-oriented mindset with focus on operational excellence
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to evolving IT landscapes
