The Lead Electrical Engineer’s scope will consist of the following:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of of skilled electrical personnel and technicians involved in the design, installation, testing & commissioning and operation & maintenance of electrical power systems covering wide voltage range [LV, MV (< 60 kV), HV (66 kV to 275 kV)] of OSS and /or onboard FPSO vessels.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including conceptual design, power system studies, basic (pre-FEED, FEED, Tender) & detailed engineering, construction, testing & commissioning and operation & maintenance phases.
- Develop electrical specifications, drawings, and technical documents in accordance with project requirements, class society rules, and regulatory standards (e.g., ABS, DNVGL) and local mandatory requirement.
- Review and approve electrical design deliverables, including single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, selection of equipment, schematics, equipment layouts, cable schedules, etc.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and vendors to ensure the successful integration of electrical power systems within overall project such integration of OSS in Wind Farm Project or Overall FPSO design & project objectives, etc)
- Conduct technical reviews, prepare technical bid analysis, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for electrical engineering projects, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices for electrical safety, performance, and reliability.
- Provide technical support and guidance during procurement activities, including specification of electrical equipment and materials, vendor evaluation, and bid review.
