Core Responsibilities
- Assess clients’ career interests, skills, and employment barriers through structured interviews and standardized assessments.
- Create and implement tailored career and job search plans aligned with each client's strengths and goals.
- Provide one-on-one coaching on résumé writing, cover letters, job applications, and interview techniques (including mock interviews).
- Deliver group workshops on job search strategies, networking, labour market trends, and workplace readiness.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, community organizations, and training providers to facilitate job matching and placement.
- Monitor clients’ progress throughout their job search journey, offering post-placement support to improve job retention.
- Maintain accurate, confidential case notes and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and data protection regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- Certification : CEI Certificate (preferred).
- Experience : Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in career services, employment support, or workforce development.
- Essential Skills :
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and motivate clients.
- Proficient in using career assessment tools and online job portals.
- Meticulous with documentation and able to manage case records systematically.
- Empathy and cultural sensitivity when engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective in building and maintaining networks with employers and community stakeholders.
