Key Responsibilities:
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, etc.)
Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on equipment malfunctions
Repair or replace worn-out components, fittings, motors, and fixtures
Maintain factory utilities including compressed air systems, water pumps, and drainage
Facility Upkeep and Support
Inspect and maintain facility infrastructure such as walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs
Respond promptly to internal maintenance requests and urgent breakdowns
Perform general handyman work (e.g., door repairs, minor painting, fixture installations)
Support setup or relocation of machinery, office furniture, or equipment
Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during maintenance activities
Maintain logs and documentation of service work, inspections, and repairs
Monitor and report safety hazards, leaks, or electrical faults
Support emergency systems (fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency lighting)
Tools and Inventory
Use proper tools, test meters, and PPE when conducting work
Maintain maintenance tools, workshop area, and spare parts inventory
Coordinate with vendors or contractors for outsourced services when needed
Requirements:
NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facility Engineering, or relevant technical field
1–3 years of experience in facility or industrial maintenance
Hands-on knowledge in basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
Ability to read blueprints, maintenance manuals, and safety standards
Physically fit; able to climb, lift, and work at heights or in tight spaces
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) or equivalent certifications (if applicable)
WSQ or equivalent safety training (e.g., Working at Heights, LOTO)
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or CMMS software
Work Environment:
Industrial or commercial facility (factory, warehouse, or plant)
Requires climbing ladders, lifting tools or parts, and working in both indoor and outdoor settings
Exposure to noise, machinery, and occasional high temperatures
Must wear safety shoes, helmets, and PPE as required.
