Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Project Controller to oversee the financial management and performance monitoring of our projects. This role serves as a crucial link between project operations and financial management, ensuring both financial accuracy and project success through effective business partnership and compliance management.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Accounting:
- Oversee project billing transactions and revenue recognition processes
- Execute month-end closing procedures for project modules
- Prepare and reconcile accrual journals for revenue and costs Ensure compliance with current accounting policies and standards
Project Performance Monitoring :
- Design and implement relevant project KPIs
- Track and analyze project performance metrics
- Create and maintain project performance dashboards
- Monitor project financial health indicators Identify and flag potential financial risks or deviations
Reporting & Analysis:
- Close and generate profit & loss statements for completed projects
- Prepare monthly project financial reports
- Create variance analysis reports Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders
Business Partnership :
- Act as financial advisor to project management teams
- Collaboration with CMO on financial matters
- Communicate accounting policy updates to business teams
- Provide financial guidance and training to project teams Support project managers in financial decision-making
Compliance & Control:
- Maintain adherence to accounting standards and policies
- Develop and document financial control procedures
- Ensure proper financial documentation for all project activities
- Guide teams on policy compliance requirements
- Update and maintain project financial procedures Other Ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Finance/Accountancy or related field
- 5 years’ experience in project controlling or project accounting
- Proficient in MS Office Excel Familiar with ERP systems especially in Oracle
Key Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Understanding of project delivery methodologies Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
