Position Overview
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, business strategy, and performance of the company. This role provides leadership across departments, ensuring the organization achieves sustainable growth, operational excellence, and compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. The GM acts as the key driver of profitability, efficiency, and company culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute business strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Provide vision, direction, and leadership to management teams across departments.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth markets.
Ensure alignment of departmental objectives with the company’s overall mission and vision.
Operations Management
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
Implement policies, procedures, and processes to improve organizational effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor key operational metrics to identify risks and improvement areas.
Financial Management
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control measures.
Ensure profitability and effective allocation of resources.
Analyze financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
Provide accurate financial and operational reports to senior stakeholders.
People & Culture Leadership
Lead, develop, and mentor departmental heads and management teams.
Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee talent management, recruitment, and succession planning.
Promote a positive workplace culture that reflects company values.
Stakeholder & External Relations
Represent the company in industry forums, client meetings, and government engagements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and clients.
Manage vendor, supplier, and partner relationships to ensure value creation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 10–15 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong track record in business strategy, operations, and financial management.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to make high-level decisions under pressure with sound judgment.
Proven experience in driving growth, managing change, and leading cross-functional teams.
