Wish is seeking a Global Tax Manager to join our Finance team. This role will support key areas of global and domestic tax planning, structuring, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong tax technical skills, able to operate in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about e-commerce. The role will collaborate with internal teams and external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the global tax function, coordinating with external tax advisory resources.
- Manage day-to-day operations related to global tax accounting, compliance, planning, and policies.
- Assist with preparation and review of the Company’s worldwide income tax provision.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual cash tax forecasting.
- Ensure proper and timely completion of domestic and international tax returns, both direct and indirect, including supporting documentation.
- Monitor tax regulatory and compliance developments, tax law changes, and assess relevance to Wish (e.g., VAT, digital services taxes, sales/use tax).
- Support relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns in coordination with external providers.
- Coordinate inputs for the tax and compliance calendar across internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide support for global tax strategy initiatives and contribute to planning projects in new business areas or international markets.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of corporate income and indirect tax experience.
- Experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or multinational corporations.
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field required.
- Exposure to eCommerce or digital platform businesses preferred.
- Strong understanding of how tax integrates with broader business objectives.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.
- Experience working on cross-functional initiatives and tax planning projects.
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong presentation skills.
