The SunRice Group’s Procurement function is a critical enabler of our organisational mission. We ensure a secure, sustainable, and dependable flow of materials and services to support the company’s operations. As the Group Senior Procurement Manager - Packaging, the role is pivotal in managing intricate supply chains associated with Packaging sources on a global scale. Responsibilities will include developing in depth procurement and category strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes with velocity, and ensuring efficient supplier relationships, delivering innovations and value engineering in line with SunRice’s growth strategy. You will be instrumental in driving cost savings, optimising processes, achieving sustainable packaging outcomes and contributing to the success of new product launches.
Key role expectations include:
- Develop and execute commercial category strategies by collaborating with key stakeholders & aligning with global business objectives to identify packaging suppliers & deliver a medium to long term view of the packaging supply base in line with NPD pipeline >95% OTIF (2–3-year outlook).
- Lead the contract negotiations and commercial terms with vendors globally for a sustainable supply of packaging materials.
- Managing supply risk through monitoring and acting against potential geo-political and market changes which could impact commercial terms and supply.
- Identify and deliver 5-10% cost-saving opportunities across the portfolio YoY.
- Responsible for the development & maintenance of reporting across the packaging category to inform S&OP, MBR, Business Unit Executive Review and Corporate Management Team decision making based on data driven metrics.
- Lead the process re-engineering efforts for global packaging sourcing and onboarding.
- Direct collaboration with the Group Sustainability team to ensure accurate reporting and data is acquired & maintained by vendors to manage ESG/modern slavery risk and environmental compliance across the SunRice Group.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with packaging suppliers globally to continuously improve performance and achieve >95% compliance rate to commercial terms and KPIs.
- Strengthen collaboration & supplier performance using strategic supplier relationship management and data driven decisions to ensure supply chain resilience.
Please note: This role requires a fair bit of travel 15-25% estimated so we need this level of mobility.
