As the Head of Projects, you will lead and manage the Projects division, overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex project logistics and freight forwarding solutions across diverse industries such as oil & gas, power & energy, construction, and infrastructure. Together with the business development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project strategies, trade lane business and supply chain contracts, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving business growth in Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian Region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the teams under the project department with the three key subdepartments of Turnkey Projects / Project Special Accounts / Supply Chain and Key Accounts to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics services and solutions, including feasibility studies, route surveys, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Participate in providing rates for RFQs and RFIs received from clients.
  • Participates in tenders and prepares comprehensive technical and commercial proposals
  • Represent deugro Singapore both externally to clients and internally to the organization in a professional manner.
  • Issue timely and accurate invoicing and according to protocol.
  • Interact with agents, terminal operators, customs brokers, carriers, freight handlers, sub-contractors and service providers, to maintain mutual understanding and support of common business goals.
  • Attend truck, vessel, barge loading/discharge at various Port, Customer and Jobsite locations. Travel air and/or auto to and from these areas.
  • Understands and leads technical communication with clients and dteq engineers.
  • Develop and execute strategies to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget, while ensuring compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) and quality standards.
  • Develop and execute strategies to develop supply chain and trade lane contracts and deliver competitive solutions with automated work processes and value- added solutions to our customers.
  • Manage and enhance relationships with key clients, contractors, and partners, acting as the primary point of escalation for complex project requirements.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to support projects, ad hoc and trade lane bidding, cost estimation, and contract negotiation.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, local regulations, and emerging markets to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and business development efforts.
  • Adhere and enforce all company policies in areas of Compliance, QHSES, Code of Business Conduct,
  • Employee Handbook, etc.


Administration:

  • Familiarize and develop skills to use our software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, Cargo wise, Opensoft, Mobilexpense etc.
  • Read, understand and negotiate contracts from clients and subcontractors.
  • Read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
