Job Purpose:
To lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent robotic and software solutions tailored for the hospitality industry. This includes automation systems, service robots, guest experience software, IoT integration, and backend systems that enhance operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness for hotel and F&B operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology & Software Development
- Design, develop, and test custom software applications and APIs for hotel automation systems, including front desk, housekeeping, F&B, and concierge operations.
- Develop and integrate robotic platforms (e.g., delivery bots, concierge bots, cleaning robots) into hospitality environments.
- Optimize existing software solutions to ensure seamless guest interaction and backend integration with PMS, POS, and IoT ecosystems.
- Create data dashboards and control panels for monitoring robotic performance and software analytics.
Robotics Integration
- Customize and configure robotic solutions (e.g., delivery bots, cleaning bots, receptionist robots) to meet specific hotel requirements.
- Ensure robotic systems are compliant with safety, privacy, and user interface best practices.
- Coordinate firmware and software updates, and resolve operational issues related to robotics.
System Integration
- Develop and manage middleware solutions that connect various platforms: PMS (e.g., Opera), POS (e.g., Koomi), CRM, ERP, IoT sensors, and facial recognition systems.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal IT teams to ensure seamless end-to-end integrations.
Innovation & Research
- Conduct R&D on the latest AI, ML, NLP, and automation trends in hospitality.
- Explore and recommend emerging technologies such as digital concierge platforms, people counters, and guest behaviour analytics.
Operational Support
- Provide technical support to hotel operations teams during deployment, testing, and live implementation.
- Conduct training for hotel staff on the usage and maintenance of robotic and software solutions.
- Monitor system performance and suggest optimizations for productivity, uptime, and guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in software development and/or robotics, preferably in hospitality tech.
Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Node.js, C++, or similar.
Experience with REST APIs, MQTT, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with robotic systems (e.g., Keenon, Pudu, Whiz, Temi) and hotel PMS systems (e.g., Opera, StayNTouch).
Understanding of hotel operations and guest journey automation.
