Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage enterprise-level infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery of systems.
- Manage and optimize servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and security infrastructure .
- Automate provisioning, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and DevOps best practices.
- Monitor infrastructure health and proactively resolve performance and capacity issues.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Cloud, Applications) for end-to-end delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical reviews and architectural discussions.
Technical Skills (Must-Have Tough Requirements)
Operating Systems & Virtualization
- Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server .
- Expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM virtualization platforms .
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) .
Cloud Platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS / Azure / GCP .
- Cloud networking, IAM policies, hybrid cloud integration, and cloud cost optimization.
Networking
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPNs, VLANs, BGP, OSPF .
- Hands-on with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto devices.
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet .
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go) .
Storage & Backup
- Expertise with SAN/NAS (NetApp, EMC, HPE) and backup/recovery solutions.
- Experience with disaster recovery, replication, and high-availability clustering .
Monitoring & Security
- Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog .
- Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, patch management .
Other Tough Skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills for performance bottlenecks, outages, and large-scale incidents .
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture, Identity & Access Management, PKI .
- Familiarity with Compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) .
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7–10 years of proven experience in infrastructure engineering.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Azure Solutions Architect
VMware VCP / Cisco CCNP or CCIE / Red Hat RHCE
HashiCorp Terraform Certified / Kubernetes CKA
