Job Description
- Flight Planning: Observe flight dispatcher in creating flight plans using LIDO software and tools, considering factors such as aircraft performance, weather conditions, air traffic restrictions, and alternate airports.
- Weather Monitoring: Monitor weather conditions along flight routes and at destinations, providing real-time updates to flight crews and operational staff. Learn to assess weather-related impacts on flight operations.
- Administrative Support: Assist flight dispatchers and operational staff with various administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and filing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to flight planning, flight operations, and communication logs.
- Flight Planning Documentation: Prepare flight planning documents, flight release forms, and other required paperwork in compliance with aviation regulations and company policies.
- NOTAMs and Airspace Restrictions: Familiarize yourself with Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) and airspace restrictions, and any other regulatory changes that may affect flight operations. Help ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure flight dispatch equipment, such as computers and communication tools, are functioning correctly and well-maintained.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with other administrative staff and operational teams to ensure effective coordination and support across different departments.
- Project Management: Assist in overseeing and coordinating the implementation of projects, such as LIDO IFS, eWAS mission watch, Gen-AI related initiatives and digitization of training records/tracking.
