About the Role
My client is looking for an Investment Associate to join their team, focusing on infrastructure and project finance investments across the region. The role offers exposure to the full investment cycle from origination through execution to portfolio management, working closely with senior team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support deal origination and execution, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and preparation of investment committee materials.
- Conduct in-depth market research, sector analysis, and benchmarking to identify new investment opportunities within infrastructure and energy-related projects.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating project finance and corporate finance transactions, including debt and equity arrangements.
- Monitor portfolio performance through financial/operational analysis, risk assessment, and preparation of periodic reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior management, technical advisors, lenders, and legal teams to ensure successful execution and long-term value creation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline; CFA/CA/CPA or progress toward advanced qualification is an advantage.
- 5–8 years’ relevant experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity, corporate development, or infrastructure advisory.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with demonstrated ability to build and interpret complex project finance models.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure and energy markets, financing structures, and key commercial/technical drivers. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work in cross-border, multi-disciplinary teams.
