- Assemble automotive seat frames, headrests, armrests, and other interior trim components according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings.
- Skillfully handle, cut, and align premium leather and fabric materials, ensuring patterns are matched and grain directions are consistent.
- Operate various hand tools (e.g., pneumatic staplers, rivet guns, screwdrivers, mallets) and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Fit, stretch, and secure leather covers over foam pads and seat frames, ensuring a smooth, wrinkle-free finish without any damage to the material.
- Install electrical components such as seat heaters, massagers, motors, and sensors, connecting wiring harnesses correctly.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of your own work and that of teammates, identifying and correcting any defects like scratches, poor stitching, loose seams, or misaligned components.
- Adhere to all standardized work procedures, safety protocols, and lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S) to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Meet production targets and cycle times while maintaining unwavering quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors to solve problems and ensure a smooth production flow.
- Complete necessary documentation and reporting accurately.
* *Experience:* Previous experience in automotive trim, upholstery, sewing, or a similar assembly role is highly preferred. Experience with luxury automotive interiors is a significant plus.
* *Technical Skills:* Proficiency with hand tools and a basic understanding of mechanical assembly. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions.

- This position works in a manufacturing plant environment.
- The role may involve exposure to fumes from adhesives and materials, as well as typical shop noise. All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.
