Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and driven Reconciliations Expert to join our Client’s Listed Derivatives Operations team in Singapore. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of trade, position, and cash reconciliations across APAC markets. The ideal candidate will bring deep operational expertise, a strong understanding of listed derivatives, and a proactive approach to resolving breaks and enhancing process efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Daily Reconciliation Activities
- Perform daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations across multiple APAC exchanges and clearing houses
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely and accurate manner
- Liaise with internal teams (Middle Office, Trading, Finance) and external parties (brokers, clearing members) to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure all reconciliations are completed within market deadlines and internal SLAs
- Data Integrity & Controls
- Maintain accurate records of reconciliation outcomes and break resolutions
- Escalate unresolved issues and aged breaks to management with appropriate commentary
- Monitor and enhance reconciliation controls to mitigate operational risk
- Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliation documentation and commentary
- Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation workflows and reduce manual touchpoints
- Partner with technology teams to implement automation and system enhancements
- Contribute to the development and testing of new reconciliation tools and dashboards
- Regional Coverage & Collaboration
- Support APAC market-specific nuances including exchange rules, settlement cycles, and product structures
- Collaborate with regional teams in APAC hubs to ensure consistency and best practices
- Participate in regional projects and initiatives impacting listed derivatives operations
Eligibility Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in listed derivatives operations, with a focus on reconciliations
- Strong understanding of APAC listed derivatives markets and clearing processes
- Proficiency in reconciliation tools and systems (e.g., IntelliMatch, TLM, proprietary platforms)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
Preferred Skills
- Experience with exchange-traded futures and options across APAC markets
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and reporting standards in the region
- Exposure to process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
