ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
The Costing Manager of Global Product Costing (GPC) will have overall accountability for the end to end costing process in the newly formed Product Costing organization at VF Corporation, responsible for costing operations that support 100’s of millions of dollars’ worth of product cost across certain VF brands and products. Located at Singapore the Costing Manager, GPC will be the primary business partner for the Product Supply leaders as well as the Brand leaders. Further, the Costing Manager will liaise with other GPC leaders and teams to ensure costing processes are executed timely and optimally. The Costing Manager will also be responsible for periodic reporting to key stakeholders. This leader will be a key member of the team responsible for conducting vendor negotiations. This leader will support transformation from several decentralized costing approaches to cohesive and consistent data-driven, automated and efficient processes. The individual will bring a strong lean, digital and analytical mindset to the organization and fully leverage “One VF” scale through use of harmonized and scalable fact-based costing methodologies. The costing leader will play an important role in the Product Supply Organization with an extensive focus on process optimization.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Include but not limited to
- Governance: Ensure seamless and automated communication of costing information between Product Vendors and VF sourcing and retail teams for timely and agile cost management. Establish key metrics and standardized reporting to ensure established processes are fully aligned with the performance, efficiency and transparency needs of the costing organization.
- Connectivity: Support connectivity and information sharing among Product Vendors, Sourcing, Global Material Supply, Finance, Engineering, Brands and Suppliers that enables a valuable One-VF Global Costing Strategy.
- Negotiation: Organize information, strategize and lead portions of in-person negotiation meetings with Vendors to ensure cost optimization through a systematic and transparent approach.
- Process Improvements: Achieve improvements in productivity and efficiency through eliminating redundancies, automating repetitive tasks and optimizing processes for maximum value.
- Standardization: Ensure processes adherence across all brands and regions to leverage one-VF scale and operating procedures across the enterprise.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives and conduct specific analyses as needed producing deliverables in a diverse, fast paced environment through extensive collaboration across teams
- Travel: 10%
