[What the role is]
You will join the team overseeing planned and ad-hoc maintenance and improvement works in Civil & Structural (C&S) and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services throughout the Singapore Botanic Gardens. You will ensure all works comply with specifications and building regulations. Your responsibilities will range from routine repairs to major upgrading projects. Additionally, you will monitor and enhance the sustainability of the Gardens' operations and facilities.[What you will be working on]
You will:
Oversee routine maintenance operations, ensuring timely response to facilities issues and maintaining the high standards expected of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Manage a number of different contractors concurrently
Work with colleagues from different departments in Singapore Botanic Gardens and NParks
Handle important infrastructural renewal works, such as cyclical replacement of air conditioning systems and maintaining heritage buildings and landscapes within the Gardens
Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, including compiling and reporting sustainability metrics, and managing the Green Mark re-certification process for Botany Centre
You will:

[What we are looking for]
Area of study in Facilities Management, Building Services, Sustainability, Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical and/or Environmental Engineering or related
Preferably with prior experience in facility management & sustainability work
Able to work in team environment, adaptable and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Conversant with current Codes of Practice, requirement of regulatory authorities and building regulations
Good interpersonal, communication, management and organisation skills and able to multi-task
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful candidate will be offered a 11-month employment contract.
