Main Responsibilities
Strategic Priorities:
- Mechanical design of equipment.
- Supporting the assembly and debug phases of the projects.
- Following working instructions from the Department Manager.
- Following daily work activities defined by the Project Manager.
- Additional responsibilities of Mechanical Engineer Level 2, Mechanical Design Engineer Level 3, or Assistant Project Manager may be performed as requested by the Project Manager.
- Being responsible for timely participation during meetings.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Critical Tasks:
- Able to collaborate and communicate with suppliers as requested by the Project Manager.
- Able to improve and harmonize mechanical engineering practices as requested by the Department Manager.
- Participate in project design reviews.
- Responsible for the successful design of systems to meet the budget and time expectations.
- Responsible for Design Stations Level 1 and 2, based on the project internal URS defined by the Project Manager.
- Responsible for the design of mechanical with support from managers.
- Support the Validation team to create and test the validation package per customer’s specifications.
- Support the Software Design Specification with the Control Engineer.
- Release stations in the ERP system and follow up on delivery dates as instructed by the Supervisor.
- Be responsible for the creation of the assembly start package.
- Be responsible for the design of pneumatic schematics, following project-specific requirements.
- Be responsible for accurately and timely generating the Mechanical Engineering documentation package assigned to each customer project.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Must follow all Mikron and customer policies and procedures.
- Must follow Mikron Singapore EHS (Environmental/Health/Safety) regulations and rules.

- Ability to make sound decisions, work independently, and within a team structure
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment
- Well-organized and respectful of project deadlines
- Ability to communicate in an open, clear, precise, and effective manner with customers, peers, and all levels of management
- Have good knowledge of industry-accepted engineering practices
- Have good knowledge in SolidWorks/Inventor.
- Must be able to travel as requested.
- Must be available to work overtime.
- May be required to work off-shift hours and holidays.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or 3 years of relevant working experience.
