JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist Product Manufacturing Engineer (ME) in executing operation preparation tickets in PLM/SAP applications.
- Support Product ME in defining and creating manufacturing procedures, build sequences, methods, and quality documentation (e.g., work instructions, test procedures, inspection checklists) according to material and assembly specifications.
- Conduct on-site validation of draft procedures and upload revisions for manufacturing product lines.
- Create and maintain new OMS Pro (Order Management System) documentation, including:
Building block configuration of product modules.
Assembly sequence of chambers, frame assembly, vacuum lines, brackets, and plates; installation of electrical components into top and bottom electrical boxes.
Electrical harness cable routing according to electrical schematics, cable patch lists, and single wire lists. - Develop and maintain Test Work Instructions by:
Using test building blocks of product modules.
Creating product testing sequences following guidance from test engineers.
Adding GUI screens and detailed test methods into work instructions. - Assist Product ME in developing jigs and fixtures designs using 3D/2D applications.
- Support timely solution implementation for suppliers, contract manufacturing, and internal manufacturing by liaising with cross-functional teams in Global Operations (GOPS) and Business Units (BU).
- Assist in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost, capacity, and efficiency enhancement with cross-functional teams in GOPS and BU.
- Collaborate with Product ME to deliver tooling and test equipment according to product requirements, incorporating innovations to improve manufacturing efficiency and customer quality.
PREREQUISITES
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
Experience:
- Industrial experience in engineering or manufacturing is a plus.
Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD and 3D modelling software such as PTC Creo and Visual Enterprise Author is a plus.
- Familiarity with SAP PLM and/or major ERP/MRP systems at user level is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (scripting, VLOOKUP), Visio basics, or other coding/scripting skills are advantageous.
General / Technical Skills:
- Ability to understand 2D drawings and 3D models; validate GD&T.
- Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Capable of writing simple procedures and creating checklists.
- Familiarity with operational excellence tools such as Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, and problem solving.
- Cleanroom working experience is a plus; must follow protocols.
