A North Indian Restaurant Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, ensuring high-quality dining experiences through effective management of staff, inventory, finances, and customer service . Key responsibilities include staff training and scheduling, managing food costs and waste, enforcing health and safety standards, handling reservations and complaints, and maintaining the authentic ambiance of the North Indian cuisine. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of North Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management :Oversee all daily restaurant activities to ensure a smooth flow from reservations to food preparation and service.
  • Staff Management :Hire, train, schedule, and motivate service and kitchen staff, and resolve any conflicts or grievances.
  • Financial Oversight :Manage budgets, track revenue and expenses, control food and beverage costs, and minimize waste to meet financial goals.
  • Customer Service :Ensure a positive guest experience, handle complaints effectively, and build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Food & Beverage Standards :Maintain high food quality and authentic North Indian presentation, and manage inventory and supplies.
  • Compliance :Ensure the restaurant adheres to all health, safety, and legal regulations, including sanitation standards and pest control.
  • Inventory & Procurement :Manage stock levels, control portion sizes, minimize waste, and process purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Reporting :Prepare reports on sales, inventory, purchases, and financial performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership & Management :Strong leadership abilities with experience in hiring, training, and managing teams.
  • Communication :Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and guests.
  • Culinary Knowledge :Advanced and comprehensive knowledge of North Indian cuisine, including recipes and preparation techniques.
  • Financial Acumen :Ability to manage budgets, track financials, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Customer Service :Proven ability to provide exceptional guest service and resolve customer issues.
  • Operational Experience :Proven experience in restaurant operations, ideally with a background in North Indian or Indian specialty restaurants.
